For the past few months I’ve been fairly good with my makeup spending, just picking up one or two things each month if so much. But I’ve got to say that this past week I’ve been tempted and I’ve filled up my basket with a few items. I’ve been looking at main stream brands as well as some indie brands.

Did I need 16 vibrant matte shadows, of course I did. Them being from Coloured Raine just sealed the deal, I have the Queen of Hearts and Cheers to You palette and I like their shadow formula both for the mattes and the shimmers.

I quickly picked up as much of the palettes as I could. Which was pretty easy, even with their already low prices the brand would often have sales, this, combined with their low shipping costs helped me quickly build my collection.

I might have mentioned before that sometimes when I order stuff from America I ship it to my aunts house because A, the company might not ship to Canada and B, the shipping charges are ridiculous and I have no desire to pay that amount.
Read MoreI’ve been purchasing mineral makeup from Indie brands for at least 10 years now and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. Before duo-chrome eyeshadows were main stream indie brands were doing it and doing it well. There are far more than 3 good duo-chrome shades, but these are the shades that I reach for consistently. This wasn’t planned but these shades are also perfect for creating fall inspired makeup looks.

When you bought it, you were crazy about it, but there’s just been other items you like more since then. As you may already know, having makeup sitting around unused is a pet peeve of mind, I never want to feel like I’ve wasted my money by purchasing this product which is now just collecting dust.

For some reason I’m not interested in the palettes, I feel like the colours and selection are just meh. Now I know it’s real easy to be a critic and say I wonder what they were thinking when they chose those colours, or who did they would like that shade?
