What's in my makeup bag
When I was working to assemble my on the go makeup bag, I had some struggles. Because I’m a more is more kind of girl I had to keep reminding myself that this wasn’t meant to be an ultimate resource bag but more of a quick fix, easy makeup look bag. At first I wanted to put so much stuff in it, after I looked at the bag that was jam packed with stuff I thought no this isn’t going to work. This here bag is way to big to be carrying around every time I head out the door. Though my on the go bag is ever evolving I’ve currently got it at a place where I’m happy with it.
Most of the things in my bag are travel size, which happened on purpose, I can fit way more travel sized items in my little bag. My thought process was what would I need if I left my house with a bare face, the only thing I don’t have in there is sunscreen, and that’s because I don’t have any travel sized or foil packet sunscreen.
So, what’s in my bag?
Prepare yourself, because it may seem like a lot, actually let me be honest it is a lot.
I’ve got an oil controlling moisturizer, a face primer that will double as an eye primer. My Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and concealer, which serves as my base product. My mini Laura Mercier setting powder, Sleek blush and Becca highlighter. For my eyeshadow I made an Anastasia quad, with some matte and shimmer shades. I’ve also got a mascara, liquid and pencil liner as well as a liner for my brows. For my lips, I’ve got lip balm, lip liner and a mini MUFE lipstick.

Tools wise, I picked up a travel size brush set from Sephora, I also tucked it a few more mini brushes that I already had in my brush collection. There’s a mini Real Techniques beauty sponge as well as a cushion face puff. To round it all out I tucked in some makeup remover wipes, a disinfecting wipe and some hair ties.
All in all I’ve got a ton packed into this little bag, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I find the size very convenient because it fits in a variety of bags, whether it’s a bag pack, tote, satchel or smaller bag. It doesn’t take up too much space, nor is it super heavy. I didn’t mention it before but the makeup bag that I use is a Ted Baker makeup pouch.
