One of the things that I wanted to do when I started this blog was talk about indie mineral eyeshadows, but do so from the perspective of a woman of colour. Finding swatches of handmade quality makeup can be difficult sometimes, this is even worse when you want to see what that duo chrome eyeshadow you love looks like on a person that has some melanin in their skin.

I’ve started posts on my top 25 favourite indie eyeshadows only to scrap them because I felt the swatches weren’t doing the product justice or that my Iphone 4 camera wasn’t capturing the nuances of the shades.
