IMATS Haul 2015 — Chaos & Reason

So this is my third year going to IMATS, the first year was awesome, the second was a little lack lustre and the third year was......

I went in with a small budget because there wasn't much that I really needed or was interested in. I knew I wanted to grab some brushes from Bdellium, and some concealer from Inglot (who was at the show for the first time), and an empty palette from Yaby. Those were my concrete must grab items, not a huge list right?

Let's see how I did.

3 Makeup Brushes from Bdellium Tools (1x 773 (Flat shader brush) and 2x785 (tapered blending brush)
I empty Yaby Palette
2 Butter lip glosses from NYX, (Ginger Snap and Devil's Food Cake) 1 Jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt and the Wonder pencil in medium
2 Inglot Freedom Blushes (AMC Blush 63 and Blush 51) 1 sculpting powder in 501 and an under eye concealer in shade 99
and then I bought 17 nail polishes yes 17! (they were a dollar each I couldn't walk by and not buy some )

And that's it my IMATS haul in its entirety.

Overall thoughts

The venue was smaller this year, but it had at least 3 completely new vendors; Benefit, NYX and Inglot. It wasn't that packed except at the Morphe booth which truthfully I didn't understand but there is evidence of the power of Youtube. It should be noted that I went on the Sunday not Saturday, so I missed the hectic crowds.

The inglot discount was negligible at 10% off if you didn't have a pro-card and 20% if you did. I didn't pick up any MAC products because they only had PRO items, so no brow stuff at all which is what I was interested in.

Mini Reviews

I am seriously in love with NYX butter glosses and am slapping myself because it took me so long to purchase one. They said they're going to have a pop up shop in Square One so I'm hoping to grab some more items at that time.

I'm a little disappointed with the inglot concealer and highlight powder, the concealer has a thin consistency and has sheer coverage, not what I was looking for in an under eye concealer, I'm going to play with it a bit more and will give a more in-depth review at that time.

As for the highlight powder it seemed to set nicely in the morning but by lunch time it was looking separated and not so pretty. Now I do have oily skin, so I'm certain that played a huge factor in the disintegration of the powder on my face, this again I will have to play around with and give an in-depth review at a later time.
