The Stack | To All The Books I Want to Read This Year-2019

One of the things that I get excited about at the beginning of the new year are the books that are expected to release during the year. Since it’s almost April I’ve caught a few books that have already been released like Toxic Game by Christine Feehan and Devil’s Daughter by Lisa Kleypas. There are so many more books that I’m looking forward to though. Some with a little more expectation than others, but I want to read everything on my list.

I usually find this task difficult because it feels like so many of the things that I want to do are contingent on other factors. Perfume Review | Jo Malone London Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne

This is my first Jo Malone perfume, I was expecting it to be strong and overpowering. However I didn’t find it to be that way at all. I was pleasantly surprised. Jo Malone has a reputation of producing quality fragranced products whether it be their perfumes or their candles.

The Stack| Quick Thoughts Nalini Singh Archangels Prophecy

Oh my gosh. I’m in shock and actually quite dismayed. I just finished reading Nalini Singh’s new book Archangels Prophecy. It’s a punch to the gut and the worst cliff-hanger possible. This book was simply a roller-coaster, I had no idea what was coming next. Why was Elena getting weaker, which symptom would be next, where is this all heading?

Thoughts and Reasonings | Inclusion

It’s not something that I’ve talked about here on my blog explicitly, though I’ve mentioned in a round about way in various posts. As a woman of colour it’s so frustrating to hear that a new product as launched, get excited about it and then realize that it most likely won’t work with your skin tone. Many of the mainstream brands seem to want to cater to only a select group of people even though you have millions of consumers that don’t fit in the narrow range that they consistently gear products toward.
