It's been a while, since I've talked books with you guys. I've been craving good books the way you crave good food. You know when you want something that is substantial that you can really sink your teeth into, that's what I've been wanting from my books. Unfortunately my favourite author's can't write new stories as fast I read their new books.
So I've been supplementing my needs with other solutions. Which just means that I've been re-reading books, I've also been reading a weekly serial, which I love and hate at the same time. I love it because the writing is so good and I hate it because I have to wait to read the next installment. Not a big fan of delayed gratification.
Before you pass a way from curiosity, I've been reading the newest installment of the Innkeeper saga by Ilona Andrews, it featuures Maud and Arland. If you've never read any of the Innkeeper books - side note you need to get on that - then you wont know who I'm talking about. It's so good guys, I can't wait till the story is finished and they publish it as a book.
If you enjoy Sci-Fi, Fantasy writing with female led story lines then please do yourself a favour and start reading the Innkeeper Series, I don't think you'll regret it.
So what am I re-reading right now?
Well I'm making my way back through Nalini Singh's Psy-Changling Series. After that I think i'll read her Archangle series again. When that's done, I'm not sure where I'll head next maybe I'll tackle Shelly Laurenston or G.A. Aiken, it's been a while since I've read the DragonKin Series.
I am looking forward to some new releases like:
Archangel's Prophecy by Nalini Singh
Leopard's Run by Christine Feehan
Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews
The Stone Warriors: Gabriel by D.B. Reynolds
These will all be available within the next month so I've a got a few things to look forward to.
So what has your reading stack looked like these last few months? Are there any books that have really stood out to you?
