Let me begin by saying that the toner was provided as a press sample for the purpose of providing a review. This is not however a sponsored post.

iUnik Vitamin Hyaluronic Acid Vitalizing Toner

So I’ve been using this toner for the past month on a regular basis, and I like it. It’s not revolutionary or anything but as toner or skin as they call it in South Korea, I think that it does it’s job. The acid in the name comes from the fact that the toner contains 45% Hyaluronic Acid and 5% Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruits Extract otherwise known as Seabuckthorn, which contains vitamin C, E and K, it also aids in brightening the skin. In addition it also has a few extracts such as licorice root which is another ingredient that helps to improve your skin tone.

The toner claims to help with moisture, skin nutrition and brightening, it’s also aimed at those with dry skin. If you’re familiar with my skin then you’ll know that I have oily skin, however I found that I was still able to use this toner without and problems or issues. The texture of the toner is described as gel like, I’m not sure how to describe it other than to say that it’s got a thicker consistency. It’s still a liquid but when you have it in your palm that’s where the gel like component can be felt. Because it’s a bit more viscose than your typical toner it doesn’t move and spread the same way.

The toner feels light on the skin when applied and is absorbed fairly quickly and leaves no residue. I like to layer it a couple of times, using the 7 skin method, as I find that it helps to add a lot of moisture to my skin. My skin is oily so I don’t usually apply more than 3 layers as I find it to be too much, if you have dry skin though I think that this would be great if you want to increase the moisture in your skin.

I’ve used it alone and in conjunction with other toners and find that it works well and doesn’t cause any irritation or sensitivity. None of the products that I applied on top separated or pilled off my skin, so if you have a multilayered routine I don’t think you’d have any problems with this toner.

The toner is available on the skin care site unique4u.net and retails for $16.49 US, the site sometimes as a promo going on where you can get 20% with a special code that they have advertised on their home page. It does ship from South Korea so will take some time.

Overall I enjoy using this toner and will continue to use it through the fall and winter months as the weather gets colder and my skin gets drier.

Are you familiar with the iUnik brand? And have you used any of their products before, if so what did you think about them?
