This month my favourites list is pretty small. I’m not sure what happened but when I say down to think about the products that I was loving this past month, these are the ones that stood out to me.
It’s not to say that I haven’t used other products I liked, I just tend to classify those as my work horse faves. This includes my Tarte Shape Tape (which is sadly running out, the sorrow), my Mac Fix + Prep and Prime spray and my Lorac eyeshadow primer.
Tarte Clay Play Face Palette
If you haven’t read my review on this guy yet, you might not know that I not so secretly love this palette. I haven’t had it for more than a month but I’m already thinking about getting a back up, I won’t but trust, I was very tempted. The name of this palette is quite accurate, as I am able to use it all over my face, for my brows, eyeshadow, setting powder and even contour/ bronzer.
It’s a great all in one palette that doesn’t disappoint. I will say that if you’re skin tone is deeper than mine, I’m around NW45 (just not as orange), then this guy might not work so well as anything apart from an eyeshadow palette. If you have the opportunity to see it in store, I would highly recommend that you check it out.
Lorac MegaPro 3 Eyeshadow Palette
At first look this palette can look a little boring and basic. But I tell you it is my secret weapon. Now that I’m gainfully employed creating quick easy looks in the morning is what I’m after. I don’t want to spend a lot of time, trying to work with difficult colours and struggle to blend them out. The Mega Pro has quickly become my workhorse palette.
I’ve created what would generally seem like basic neutral looks, however the shimmers elevated it and made it chic and sophisticated. I do use other blending and crease shades with it, as I tend to like a bit more warmth in my crease.
Tarte Stunner Highlighter
This little highlighter right here gives my skin a beautiful lit from within look. It just makes me look fresh and dewey which you’d think is hard to accomplish in this colder weather but no, this bad boy has my back.
It never looks ashy on my skin tone, even though it looks a little light in the pan. Also I find that texture of this highlighter to be smooth and nice, this translates when you apply it to your skin. It’s just a smooth soft shimmer, not junks of glitter or patchiness.
Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara
Every month, when I place this guy in my favourites pile, I’m a little surprised. When I first tried out this mascara I wasn’t that impressed I didn’t think that it did too much for my lashes overall. However as I mentioned in my review post on this guy, it’s great as a follow up mascara to separate your lashes so they don’t clump.
Estee Edit The Barest Bronzer
Although I do like using this guy as a bronzer this month I’ve been using it more as a transition colour in my crease. I really like the orange rust shade of it. The bronzer adds a nice level of warmth to my eyeshadow looks without being overly orange. The powder is a more densely packed in the pan, so it’s not dusty or powdery. This allows for slow easy build up in the crease.
That’s it, my favourites this month is short and sweet. What products were you loving in the month of November?
